‘And they shall know that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would bring this calamity upon them.’ (Ezekiel 6:10)
I find it interesting that the one of the main reasons that the LORD would bring punishment upon the people of Israel was so that they would know that He is the LORD. His own glory is absolutely fundamental to our knowledge of Him. We need to recognise that HE IS THE LORD, and all the consequences of that.
